The Elasto Painters mounted a comeback from an early 19-point deficit to rout the Japan U-22 team on Saturday, 116-91, on the penultimate day of the 42nd Jones Cup at the Taipei Heping Gymnasium.

The team went on a 9-0 blast to end the third quarter and finally take control of the game where it once trailed, 19-40 and 21-42.
Rain or Shine then poured everything on in the fourth period by outscoring the Japanese, 16-2, to stretch its lead at 99-78.

Kouame had 18 along with Gian Mamuyac, import Nick Evans with 17, while the guard combination of Andre Caracut and Anton Asistio combined for 23 points.
Japan fell to 1-6 and was led by the 23 of of Anthony Sukegawa, who was held to just five points in the second half following a sizzling start.
University of Irvine also shares the top spot with Chinese Taipei-A, followed by Anyang KGC (5-1), Qatar (3-4), United Arab Emirates (3-5), and Chinese Taipei-B (2-4).
