JONAS Tibayan denied he has committed to De La Salle, saying he is concentrating on finishing his playing year with Chiang Kai Shek College in high school.

The 17-year-old Tibayan made it clear he has not made any commitment to any college team, including La Salle, despite statements made by head coach Aldin Ayo recently that he will suit up for the Green Archers.

The blue-chip high school player said he, along with some members of the Chiang Kai Shek College coaching staff, only had a meeting with Ayo.

"Hindi pa. Nag-meeting lang po kami pero wala pa pong commitment kasi may liga pa kami," said the 6-foot-3 Tibayan in an interview during practice for the NBTC All-Star Game.

Tibayan said he is also not thinking about college since he still has leagues to play for the Blue Dragons including the Palarong Pambansa.

Tibayan will lead the Manila squad which will represent the National Capital Region in the Palaro, which will be held in Antique this April. Tibayan will also play for the NBTC All-Star Game where he was one of the 26 local-based high school players who will suit up in the prestigious event.
