MINDORO is going full blast on its rebuild for the next season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
Team owner and head coach Justin Tan is bringing in a dynamic coaching staff to help him improve the Tamaraws' chances in the regional league.
Former University of the East coach Joe Silva, who won a championship as the mentor of the Kai Sotto-led Ateneo Blue Eaglets in UAAP Season 80, spearhead the new faces on the Mindoro bench.
Joining him is Marvin Bienvenida, La Salle Greenhills' athletic director and the head coach of the Joel Cagulangan-captained Greenies which captured the NCAA Season 93 title.
Completing the staff are former UE Junior Warriors coach Anton Brodett and ex-Perpetual assistant Ferdinand Ali-Ali.
Sniper Leo de Vera has also committed to joining the 7A Sports-backed Tamaraws next season. He joins a Mindoro team which relied on former Smart Gilas stalwart Mac Baracael and homegrown star Rodel Vaygan last Lakan Cup where it finished with a 9-21 record to wind up in 12th place in the South Division.
These changes are just the latest for the Tamaraws who welcomed Pola, Oriental Mindoro mayor Jennifer Cruz, also known by her screen name Ina Alegre, as a part-owner, joining Oriental Mindoro Rep. Doy Leachon in the front office.
Mindoro is also expecting the completion of its homecourt in Calapan City as it aims to host home games in the province.
