FAMOUS comedian Jo Koy was in another big venue, the SM Mall of Asia Arena, on Sunday - only this time, he wasn't taking the stage.
Instead, the proud Filipino was watching from the front row, as the squad he sponsored was playing in the finals of the 2025 Manila Live 19-Under Girls' Tournament.

Jo Koy, who made a name for himself by putting a fun spin on his experiences growing up in the U.S. with a Filipino mother, was the namesake of Fil-Nation Jo Koy who will be battling Fil-Aus Nation Select for the championship.
The Manila Live is an invitational tournament organized by the NBTC to run alongside its crown jewel National Finals, or the Philippine 19-under basketball championship.
Fil-Am Nation Select-USA will be defending its Division 1 championship against Kieffer Alas-led Phenom BlueFire-Pasay in the main event, while another title retention bid will be decided when Division 2 reigning king Top Flight Hoops-Canada will face St. Jude College-Dasmarinas.
Last Saturday, the NBTC All-Star Game ended up as a classic, with undermanned Team Heart digging deep to steal the win from Team Hustle, also fronted by Alas, the No. 1-ranked under-19 player in the Philippines.
