ARELLANO defeated St. Clare College, 61-49, on Thursday to capture the 25-under title in the Milcu Got Skills Hard To Guard basketball tournament at the Enderun Colleges Gym.

Jiovani Jalalon scored 14 points, six rebounds, and three steals to give the Chiefs a big boost their preparation for NCAA Season 92.

The Chiefs pulled away in the third quarter and cruised to victory in the tournament sponsored by Milcu and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Arellano’s Michael Canete was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament and was joined in the Mythical Five by teammate Kent Salado, Enderun’s Earvin Maravilla, College of Saint Benilde’s Clement Leutcheu, and St. Clare’s Koi Galvelo.

Arellano finished 6-1 in the eliminations before beating St. Dominic Savio College, 84-44, and Enderun College, 74-55, in the playoffs.
