THE Philippines whipped Laos, 133-52, on Sunday night for its second win in the 2016 Seaba Under-18 Championship in Medan, Indonesia.
The Batang Gilas raced to an 8-0 lead and never looked back as the Nationals got a boost in the battle for three spots to the Fiba-Asia Under-18 Championship.
The Nationals outscored Laos, 27-5, in the second quarter to grab a 59-15 halftime lead.
Alain Jethro Madrigal topscored for Batang Gilas with 23 points as six players scored in double figures for the Philippine youth squad. Theo Joshua Flores chipped in 19, while Joshua Sinclair added 18 markers.
The Philippines faces Malaysia on Monday.
