JERON Teng is looking forward to join the Mighty Sports team set to represent the country in the 2017 Dubai Invitational Basketball Tournament next month.
Currently playing for the AMA Online Education in the PBA D-League, Teng hopes to gain more valuable experience as well as play with some of the seasoned pros and even team up with his college rival Kiefer Ravena in his preparation for the pro league.
The former La Salle star joins a Philippine team along with Ravena, former two-time PBA MVP Willie Miller, and imports Justin Brownlee and Hasheem Thabeet.
"Feel ko mage-enjoy ako dun. At the same time, I'll be able to represent the country," Teng said after AMA's 94-85 win over Cignal-San Beda in D-League on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, AMA coach Mark Herrera doesn't mind lending the services of his prized ward. After all, Teng only will sit out one game when the Titans face Blustar Detergent on February 21.
"Basta para sa bansa (walang problema samin)," said Herrera.
