LAPU-LAPU CITY – Jeremy Lin will not see action in Friday’s EASL Final Four between New Taipei Kings and Chiba Jets owing to an injury.
Lin is not listed in the 12-man roster of the Kings in their semifinal match against the Jets to be played at the Hoops Dome.

The 35-year-old former NBA player has been bothered by a plantar fascia injury since last January while playing for the Kings in Taiwan’s domestic league P. League+.
On Thursday, Lin already hinted the possibility of missing the game although he participated in the afternoon practice at the Hoops Dome.
“It gets better everyday. I continue to manage it. The goal was for me to go through practice today which I did,” said Lin.
“I’ll meet with the coach and the medical team. I believe the deadline is 8 p.m. so we will meet and come to a conclusion,” Lin added on Thursday night.
The Kings have apparently decided against Lin playing in the semifinal contest against the B.League side Jets, who are entering the semifinals unbeaten after six games.

Meanwhile, Rhenz Abando is included in the 12-man roster submitted by Anyang Jung Kwang Jang Red Boosters in their own semifinal contest against Seoul SK Knights.
Abando is also doubtful for Friday’s semifinal match due to a back injury that is still related to his horror fall last December in the Korean Basketball League.
