SUWON KT Sonicboom moved a win away from advancing to the Korean Basketball League (KBL) semifinals despite an off night from star guard JD Cagulangan.
The No. 4-seed Sonicboom staved off Daegu KOGAS Pegasus with a 63-57 Game Three victory at Daegu Gymnasium on Wednesday.

Cagulangan missed all of his eight field goals and only nabbed two rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes of play.
Still, Heo Hoon took charge for Suwon and uncorked 35 points to give his side the 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.
SJ Belangel chipped in 12 points, five boards, and four assists in the Daegu defeat.
In the other series, Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus swept Anyang Jung Kwan Jang, 99-92, in Game Three on Thursday at Anyang Gymnasium.
That's despite Javi Gomez de Liaño's 13 points, six rebounds, and one assist as Anyang falls short in the quarters.
The loss also voided what could have been a Gomez de Liaño faceoff in the semis with Juan's Seoul SK Knights waiting in the Final Four.
