JD Cagulangan's second year in Korea has come to an abrupt end.
The former University of the Philippines guard has suffered an ACL on his left knee during Suwon KT SonicBoom's 82-80 loss to Wonju DB Promy on Thursday.
Cagulangan, last season's KBL Rookie of the Year, was going for a drive when he went down at the 4:21 mark of the second quarter. He had two points, three assists, and two rebounds when he exited the game for good.
The 5-foot-8 guard has been solid as a relief playmaker for Suwon KT, posting 7.7 points, 3.2 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in this campaign.
His loss will be a big blow foe the SonicBoom which are currently in the middle of the pack with an even 15-15 record.
