JASON Brickman is set to make his third stint with Mighty Sports when the team campaigns in the 2019 Dubai International Basketball Tournament.
The Fil-Am guard previously played for Mighty Sports in the 2016 Jones Cup and the 2017 Dubai International Basketball Tournament. But the Fil-American said a chance to play with former NBA cager Lamar Odom was one of the reasons why he a third stint with the team was hard to resist.
“I was really excited to play with Lamar,” said Brickman. “Watched him play with the Lakers all the time so I’m really excited. Also one of the reasons why I came here is to get an opportunity to play with him and the exposure of playing with Mighty Sports.”
Brickman was recently released by his Asean Basketball League team Mono Vampire, allowing him to play once again with Mighty Sports.
“Thought it was a great opportunity to play in Dubai with a great group of guys. I played with Mighty for two tournaments in the past. It’s a great organization and I’m looking forward to playing with them again.”
He is also understood to be a target of San Miguel Alab Pilipinas.
Brickman sees a lot of talent from this year’s batch following the entry of imports Odom, Justin Brownlee, and Randolph Morris, along with college star Juan Gomez de Liano and Fil-Ams Jeremiah Grey, and Roosevelt Adams.
Brickman looks forward to being the facilitator for the squad.
“Great group of guys, great imports to play with and really talented shooters and players. I’m excited to play with them. I think my ability to control the game as a point guard and get guys get open shots. Hopefully, I can run the show a little bit and push the pace on offense and have fun with these guys,” said Brickman.
