JARED Bahay and Reinhard Jumamoy put on incredible performances on Friday, leading their teams to a face-off in the Division 1 semifinals of 2023 Smart-NBTC National Finals presented by SM.
Bahay, the Gilas Youth standout considered as the top high school player of the NBTC, scored 31 points on 8-of-13 shooting from threes as Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu defeated Mapua, 90-75.

Not to be outdone, Jumamoy flirted with a quadruple double hours after receiving his UAAP juniors MVP trophy, collecting 27 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, and nine steals to lift reigning champion Nazareth School of National University to a 94-52 win over Pampanga Delta.
Sacred Heart School and NU will face each other in the other Division 1 semifinals to be played on Saturday with fellow Cebuanos Bahay and Jumamoy headlining the other match.
Fil-Am Nation Select USA and University of Santo Tomas also overcame foes to arrange a tussle in the Fearless Four of the tournament sponsored by Smart, SM, Strong Realty and Development Corp., Under Armour, and Molten.
Jason Mandaquit tallied 31 points and eight steals as Fil-Am Nation defeated Batang Tiaong Quezon, 91-79, to move into the semifinals.
Charles Bucsit had 16 points including the marginal free throw with 0.5 seconds left to give UST a 66-65 win over Toronto, Canada.
The tournament is also supported by Tecno, Regent, Rebisco, Jollibee, San Miguel Corp., Maynilad, Rebel Sports Pilipinas, MNL Kingpin, Gatorade, Swish App, Victory Liner, Jasper Jean, Darlington, Exped, Coach E Basketball School, Lighthouse Events, and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
