Ray Parks' Osaka Evessa keeps B.League playoff hopes alive

RAY Parks' bid to reach the Japan B.League playoffs is still alive after Osaka Evessa's weekend split over Alvark Tokho at Arena Tachikawa Tachihi.

Parks fired 16 points and recorded four assists, two steals, and a rebound in their 68-66 escape on Saturday.

However, he was held to just two points in their 82-47 blowout loss on Sunday to fall down to a 27-25 record.

With eight games remaining in the regular season, Parks' Osaka still has a chance to snag one of two wildcard spots, but they have to play flawlessly to end its campaign and make the last ditch effort to make it to the postseason.

Other Pinoy imports out to finish B.League season on a high

As for the other Pinoys, it's all about finishing the season strong.

Dwight Ramos carried Levanga Hokkaido to a 98-78 rout of Saga Ballooners at Saga Arena on Saturday as he unfurled 18 points, four assists, and two rebounds.

But his 21-point night a day after wasn't enough as they dropped one back, 89-73, to the same team to fall to a 19-33 record.

The hosts, though, would avenge that defeat with an 85-68 beatdown on Sunday, with Wright only recording three points and two assists, as the Brave Thunders drop to 15-37.

AJ Edu also notched a double-double in Nagasaki Velca's 91-86 triumph over SeaHorses Mikawa on Saturday at Wing Arena Kariya, nabbing 13 points, eight boards, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.

But they would drop the second of the back-to-back with an 83-78 loss on Sunday, with the Gilas big going scoreless yet still hauling down six rebounds, a steal, and a block to end up at 23-29.

Kiefer Ravena also showcased his playmaking, dishing out nine assists to go with seven points and four rebounds in Yokohama B-Corsairs' 79-52 win over Akita Northern Happinets at CNA Arena Akita on Saturday.

But his statline of nine points, three assists, and two rebounds was not enough as they absorbed a 77-68 loss a day after ti slide to 23-29.
