RAY Parks Jr. and AJ Edu emerged victorious on Saturday, helping their respective squads stay hot in the Japan B.League.
Parks helped Osaka Evessa notch back-to-back victories after escaping Toyama Grouses, 104-102, behind a 13-point, one-rebound, one-assist effort for the club’s 17th win of the season.
Edu, for his part, chipped in seven points, two rebounds, and one assist as Gunma Crane Thunders disposed Alvark Tokyo, 92-66, for their third straight win.
Gunma remained in fifth place with a 27-16 record as it continues its push for a quarterfinal berth.
In other matchups, Dwight Ramos had 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, but Levanga Hokkaido bowed to San-en Neophoenix, 90-73.
Kiefer Ravena and Kai Sotto also put up decent numbers but saw their teams fall short.
Ravena finished with 14 points and four assists as Yokohama B-Corsairs absorbed an 84-79 loss to Seahorses Mikawa.
Meanwhile, Sotto posted 11 points, seven rebounds, and one assist wasn't enough as the Koshigaya Alphas’ fell to the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins 101-72.
It was also a quiet night for Francis Lopez and Quentin Millora-Brown in their respective setbacks.
Lopez tallied five points, two rebounds, and one assist as a starter in Fighting Eagles Nagoya’s 85-79 loss to the Kawasaki Brave Thunders.
QMB, on the other hand, collected two rebounds and one assist in Chiba Jets’ 85-76 defeat to the Ibaraki Robots.
