MATTHEW Wright erupted for 22 points as Kyoto Hannaryz got back at SunRockers Shibuya, 81-76, on Sunday in the 2022-23 Japan B.League season at Kyoto City Gymnasium.

The Fil-Canadian gunner shot 2-of-6 from distance, to go with nine assists, three rebounds, and one assist as Kyoto halted a two-game slump and rose to 11-17.

Cheick Diallo had a double-double of 22 points and 17 boards, as Jarrod Uthoff got 14 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in the win.

Bobby Ray Parks helped Nagoya Diamond Dolphins in their 70-67 win over Utsunomiya Brex at Brex Arena.

He scored the go-ahead three-point play with 1:11 left, before Scott Eatherton iced the game with a fadeaway jumper in the last 24 seconds.

Parks ended up with 17 points, five boards, four assists, and two steals as Nagoya won three of its last four games to rise to 20-8.

Eatherton nabbed 24 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocks in the win.

    Kiefer Ravena, however, could not do the same for Shiga Lakes in their 99-87 defeat to Akita Nothern Happinets at Shiga Daihatsu Arena.

    The Filipino guard scored six of his 18 points as Shiga tried to mount a late fightback from 23 points down but could only get to within 12. He wound up with four rebounds and two assists in the Lakes' 11th consecutive defeat for a 4-24 record.

    Kai Toews led Shiga with 18 points, eight assists, three boards, and two steals, and Kelvin Martin got 17 points, 12 rebounds, five dimes, and three steals off the bench.

    Dwight Ramos, meanwhile, missed his 17th straight game due to a sprained ankle as Levanga Hokkaido lost to Osaka Evessa, 110-108, in overtime at Ookini Arena Maishima.

    This was the fourth straight loss for Hokkaido to slump to a 7-21 record.
