JAMIE Malonzo gets a new lease on life in Japan, signing a fresh deal with B.League second division team Earthfriends Tokyo Z.
The team announced the news on Friday.
"It's an honor to join a club with such passionate fans and a strong vision for the future," the 6-foot-7 forward said.
Malonzo, 30, only played five games for Kyoto Hannaryz in the 2025-26 season where he was sparingly used.
Before that, the Fil-Am highflyer was the second overall pick in the 2020 PBA Rookie Draft and spent four years in the league, winning a title with Ginebra in the 2023 Commissioner's Cup.

Earthfriends Tokyo Z finished with a 16-36 record last year with James Spencer as its Asian import.
This year, it will remain in the second-tier B.League One in the restructured Japanese basketball league.
