Ravena timed 29.8 seconds in the Skills Challenge. The Shiga Lakes playmaker missed his first chest pass and didn't make a three until his third attempt.
That paled in comparison to the 20.9 second run of winner Yuki Kawamura of the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
Heading, meanwhile, placed third in the Three-Point Contest after a strong 17-point showing, making his last three money ball shots.
That mark, however, was only behind winner Takumi Saito of the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins who had 19 points and Levanga Hokkaido's Ryoma Hashimoto who scored 18.
The two will still get a chance to strut their stuff later in the day when they team up in the Asia All-Stars side against the B.League Rising Stars.
