AFTER earning a B1 promotion last week, Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakes moved on the verge of winning the B2 crown on Saturday.
The Filipino guard was instrumental in the Lakes' 96-87 Game One victory over the Koshigaya Alphas at Shiga Daihatsu Arena.
Ravena uncorked 16 points, four assists, a rebound, and a steal as they took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three championship series.
He supported Brock Motum's 37-point, 14-rebound night as Shiga guns for the sweep on Sunday.
Roosevelt Adams, meanwhile, only had seven points, four boards, and one steal on Yamagata Wyverns' 92-72 defeat to Altiri Chiba at Chiba Port Arena in the B2 third place battle.
Over in B1, Ray Parks and the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins succumbed to Hiroshima Dragonflies, 79-75, in Game One of their semifinals series at Dolphins Arena
Parks was held to just two points, two rebounds, an assist, and a steal as they fight for their season at home on Sunday.
