KIEFER Ravena is, indeed, staying in Japan for two more years after signing with Yokohama B-Corsairs.
Ravena made the confirmation himself on Tuesday during the media day of Strong Group Athletics, a team he will be suiting up for in the William Jones Cup, just as the Japan B.League is in the middle of its offseason.

“Nasa Japan pa rin ako. I just signed with Yokohama. I’m very excited for that. New team, new season for me. Hopefully, I bring the same luck that I (brought) from Shiga to Yokohama,” said Ravena.
Ravena joins the B-Corsairs, who are no strangers to Filipino imports, with Kai Sotto having played for them last season under a loan agreement with Hiroshima.
Yokohama, however, missed the B1 playoffs after finishing with a 24-36 win-loss record.

The former PBA player for NLEX said it was also a difficult decision to leave Shiga, a team he helped capture the B2 League crown - and as such, make a return to B1.
“Mahirap din kasi nag-champion ka, you are expected to stay there, be there, try to win as a team again. But then again, nag-iiba ang direction paminsan-minsan. This is one example. I had to make a move for myself,” said Ravena.
