KAI Sotto’s near-double-double ended in heartbreak after the Koshigaya Alphas saw their three-game win streak in the Japan B.League snapped by an 84-82 defeat to Chiba Jets on Wednesday at Koshigaya City Gymnasium.
The Gilas Pilipinas stud held his own down low against a Jets side led by former NBA player Yuta Watanabe, but his 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals could not save the hosts from dropping to 6-13.

Japanese national player Yuki Togashi delivered the game-winner for the Jets on a drive with 2.2 seconds left.
Ray Parks, on the other hand, did help Osaka Evessa earn back-to-back victories as they got the better of Kiefer Ravena and the Yokohama B-Corsairs, 89-84, at Yokohama International Pool.
Parks scored 18 points and added two boards, an assist, a steal, and a block to push Osaka to 11-8.
Ravena, for his part, got nine points, four assists, and two rebounds as the B-Corsairs' suffered back-to-back losses and fell to 7-12.
Dwight misfires
Dwight Ramos, meanwhile, was held to just three points in Levanga Hokkaido’s 74-64 loss to Gunma Crane Thunders at Openhouse Arena Ota. They dropped to 6-13.
AJ Edu chipped in five points, six boards, three blocks, an assist, and a steal in Nagasaki Velca’s 88-82 defeat to Hiroshima Brave Thunders at Hiroshima Sun Plaza, sinking to 7-12 overall.
Matthew Wright sat out Kawasaki Brave Thunders’ 85-75 loss to Ryukyu Golden Kings at Okinawa Arena due to an illness. His team suffered a fifth straight defeat and fell to 4-15.
