KAI Sotto isn't leaving Japan anytime soon.
That's even if his B.League squad Koshigaya Alphas get relegated to the second division.
SPIN.ph sources bared that there's already plans in place for Sotto if ever Koshigaya ends up at the bottom of the standings at the conclusion of the eliminations.
Handlers of the 7-foot-3 center are already considering their options, all with the goal of keeping the Gilas Pilipinas big man competing in the top-tier division of the Japanese professional basketball league.

That means that if Koshigaya drops to the second division, Sotto is more likely to sign with a new team for his fifth year in Japan come the 2026-27 season.
The Alphas are currently sporting a 17-35 win-loss record, tied at 20th place with Francis Lopez' Fighting Eagles Nagoya with eight games left in their 60-game schedule.
Though they're still five games ahead, there's still a mathematical chance for Koshigaya to slip if it loses all of its remaining games.
Toyama Grouses (12-40) and Akita Northern Happinets (10-42) are currently in the red zone and are on the brink of relegation to B2.
Sotto is averaging 12.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 blocks in his 20 games after returning to action last January from an ACL injury. - RL
