JUSTINE Baltazar has been released by the Hiroshima Dragonflies.

The team announced the move on Tuesday morning.

"To all the fans, thank you for supporting me and the whole Hiroshima Dragonflies team. Thank you for cheering me on since day one. You will forever have a special place in my heart. I hope you’ll still support me and the rest of the team. God bless us all. Thank you very much!" Baltazar said in a statement.

Baltazar has been sparingly used in his first season in Japan and was even deactivated in Hiroshima's weekend games against Levanga Hokkaido.

    The former La Salle forward only played a grand total of 13 minutes across eight games and tallied two points, a rebound, an assist, and a steal as he was largely utilized during garbage time.

    With his release, Baltazar also won't be playing for the Asia All-Stars in the Japan B.League All-Star Weekend in Mito.
