"I'm 100-percent healthy and ready to continue the season. I'm in talks with other teams and excited to continue my journey here in Japan," he posted in his Instagram Story, a day after his unceremonious exit.

Why goodbye, Kyoto?

Malonzo shared that Kyoto's decision stemmed from the team having to deal with injuries, as the Hannaryz wanted to "strengthen their frontcourt."

American-Italian center Angelo Caloiaro recently went down with a right triangular fibrocartilage complex injury and is also suffering from ulnar styloid bone contusion, leading to Kyoto signing Chehales Tapscott as relief import. It has stumbled to a 1-4 record in the ongoing season.
