Slaughter last played for NorthPort Batang Pier, suiting up in just four games in the 2021 Governors’ Cup where he posted averages of 14.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks.
He joins a Fukuoka team which finished with a 20-30 record last season.
Greg Slaughter is set to move to Japan after failing to come to terms with Northport i the PBA.
"I am really excited to play for the great city of Fukuoka and the fans! Thank you for all the support and I can't wait to see you all!," Slaughter said in a press statement.
Slaughter found himself in a contract dispute with the Batang Pier after he initially claimed that the team did not reach out to him following the expiration of his contract on Jan. 31.
NorthPort disputed the claim and said it offered the former No. 1 pick a maximum deal, but the Ateneo center retorted and claimed that it was "not even close" to what the Batang Pier was paying him.
In Japan, Slaughter is set to face off against fellow Filipinos Kobe Paras (Altiri Chiba) and Jordan Heading (Nagasaki Velca) in the B.League's second division.
