Dwight Ramos plays hero's role in Hokkaido's sweep of Sendai

DWIGHT Ramos' Levanga Hokkaido extended their win streak to three with a weekend sweep of Sendai 89ers at Hokkai Kitayell to move up the standings in the 2025-26 Japan B.League season.

The Gilas Pilipinas star was sensational in the series, firing 18 points, three steals, and two rebounds in their 87-85 win on Saturday before following it up with a 19-point, five-assist performance in their 97-95 victory on Sunday which he capped with the game-winning steal and layup.

The pair of conquests pushed Hokkaido ahead at 6-3 for third place in the Eastern Conference.

Kiefer Ravena and the Yokohama B-Corsairs earned a similar two-game home sweep of Ibaraki Robots at Yokohama International Pool.

The shifty guard nabbed nine points, two assists and a rebound in an 80-75 triumph on Saturday, and scored nine points anew, as well as gathering three boards, three assists, and one steal in an 81-69 win on Sunday to rise to a 4-5 card.

Ray Parks was also pivotal for Osaka Evessa in a 83-73 win on Sunday against Hiroshima Dragonflies at Ookini Arena Maishima where he produced 18 points, two rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Parks and Co. improved to 4-5.

    It was a sweet redemption for the home team after Parks only had nine points, three assists, and two boards in Osaka's 102-97 loss to Hiroshima a day prior.

    Gunma Crane Thunders also stunned Ryukyu Golden Kings, 89-83, on Saturday at Okinawa Arena where AJ Edu only had three rebounds in 19 minutes of action.

    But the powerhouse Ryukyu got that win back, taking down Gunma, 85-81, on Sunday where Edu had six points, four boards, four assists, four blocks, and one steal as the Crane Thunders dropped to a 4-5 slate.

    Francis Lopez, on the other hand, was winless this weekend as the Fighting Eagles Nagoya absorbed a pair of losses at the hands of SeaHorses Mikawa at Sky Hall Toyota.

    The former UP Maroons forward had six points, seven rebounds, an assist, and a block in Saturday's 80-75 setback, and also registered four points and a board in Sunday's 89-73 blowout loss to fall down to a 3-6 record.
