KAI Sotto was ejected late in the third quarter of Koshigaya Alphas' 79-69 loss to Alvark Tokyo in the Japan B.League on Sunday.
Sotto was ejected with seconds remaining in the third quarter after seemingly hitting Taiki Okasabe above the shoulders off a loose ball play. He finished with two points, a rebound and three assists in the loss.
Koshigaya slid to 18-37 with the loss.
Levanga Hokkaido bounced back in a big way, turning the tables on the Chiba Jets with a 92-84 victory in the Japan B.League on Sunday.
Dwight Ramos tallied 11 points, four rebounds, and one assist as Hokkaido tightened its grip late and stayed in the hunt for the playoffs.
The Jets, still without Quentin Millora-Brown, saw their bid to stay in the upper tier take a hit as they slipped from their share of second place in the East.
Gunma Crane Thunders took advantage of Chiba’s stumble, securing a 74-66 win over Utsunomiya Brex to create a bit of separation from the Jets.
AJ Edu chipped in four points and seven rebounds as Gunma leaned on its defense to climb into solo second in the east with 38-17 record.
In the other game, Ray Parks Jr. continued his steady play, powering Osaka Evessa past Kawasaki Brave Thunders, 103-93.
Parks put up an all-around outing, finishing with 20 points, four rebounds, and four assists to keep Osaka in control throughout.
Kiefer Ravena, meanwhile, was held to just three points and three assists as Yokohama fell short against Sun Rockers Shibuya, 70-67.
It was a tight contest, but Shibuya managed to squeeze through in the closing moments.
Nagoya Fighting Eagles also suffered a heavy defeat, bowing to Saga Ballooners, 103-68.
Francis Lopez registered 10 points, four rebounds, and six assists, but Nagoya was overwhelmed early and never recovered.
