OKINAWA – Missing last year’s B.League All-Star Weekend due to an injury, Dwight Ramos is raring to make this experience a memorable one.
Not only is he serving as the team captain to the Asia All-Stars team, the Levanga Hokkaido guard will also have his girlfriend Kim Kianna Dy cheering her from the bleachers of Okinawa Arena on Saturday.

“I think it’s gonna be fun,” he said. “She gets to experience Okinawa, the B.League, the All-Star Game and it’s just a lot of things all at once. I think it’s going to be super fun for her to watch everything that happens, all those festivities.”
This early, Ramos couldn’t help but smile having his beau by his side.
But it’s not just the good times that they choose to share together. Even in each other’s worst, the two have made sure to have each other’s backs.
Just take what Dy went through when F2 Logistics terminated its operations from the Premier Volleyball League which left the former La Salle opposite hitter without a home.
Ramos, a professional for three seasons in Japan now, was the first to console his girlfriend and assured her that everything will turn out fine.
After all, he had to endure pretty much the same fate when he decided to change teams and moved from the Toyama Grouses to Hokkaido.

“I just told her when she was looking for her new team to just really feel it and feel who really wants you, which team is really interested in you and which is the best fit for you,” Ramos said.
Changing addresses may be hard, but Ramos reminded Dy that whatever happens, he will always be by her side.
“I’ve transferred to a lot of teams, going back and forth the Philippines, America, Japan. So I’m used to different teams and I just try to guide her with what I know,” he said. “So I’m just happy that PLDT was the one. I’m glad that she has a new team and I’m excited for her next year.” /RSL
