Did Calvin Abueva just get an invite from a Japan B. League team?
On Saturday afternoon, Calvin Abueva posted a screenshot of a text message supposedly sent to him that said: “Good am Calvin, pls call me. May offer sa Japan B. League.”
The Phoenix Fuelmaster do-it-all forward took a screenshot of the message and shared it on his Instagram story. He added a ‘thinking’ animation graphic to his post.

He posted the IG story just days after former Ateneo star Thirdy Ravena announced that he's playing for a Japanese B.League team in its next season.
The 32-year-old player was hit with an indefinite suspension by the PBA in July 2019 after two ugly court controversies capped by a clothesline on TNT import Terrence Jones.
Almost a year has passed and the PBA has yet to to lift Abueva’s ban, claiming that he still has to complete psychological tests he was made to undergo.
The former NCAA MVP out of San Sebastian is still under contract with Phoenix, which acquired the enigmatic forward in a trade with Alaska.
Hours earlier, Abueva also posted this on his IG page.
