JACK Animam has signed with Women’s Chinese Basketball Association team Wuhan Shengfan.
Animam, who previously played in Serbia and France, will be the first foreign reinforcement in the league in four years, according to the announcement. She is also the first Filipina to play in the tournament.

“As the WCBA's first foreign aid and the first Filipino player to land in China in the past four years, we look forward to [Animam’s] good performance in the WCBA!” the announcement read.

The WCBA is currently made up of 17 clubs. The Sichuan Yuanda Pandas are the current champions.
WNBA stars A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Candance Parker, Maya Moore, Brittney Griner, and Jewell Loyd, among others, have played in the WCBA.
Before she heads to China, Animam leads the Gilas Pilipinas Women in the Jones Cup in Taiwan from Aug. 5 to 9.
