JACK Animam earned her place among the top performers in this past season of the University Basketball Association as she led Shih Hsin University to the championship on Sunday.
The Filipina import led the league in rebounding at 14.1 per game in the Tigers' successful title defense.
Animam averaged 17.1 points, eighth-best in the league, on 66-percent shooting from the field, on top of her 2.6 steals, 1.9 blocks (second-best), and 1.3 assists in her debut in the Taiwanese collegiate league.
"Sobrang saya ko lang kasi champion pa rin. Yun talaga yung goal ko from the start. Bonus na lang itong award para sa akin after ng lahat ng pinaghirapan ng buong team namin," the Gilas Pilipinas Women standout said.
Shih Hsin's Lin Die was named MVP after posting 15.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and 2.3 assists, while Zheng Huici of Chinese Culture University took home the top rookie award with 12.5 points, 8.6 boards, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 blocks.
