JACK Animam continued to write history, winning the 2026 Women's Japan Basketball League on Sunday at Sky Hall Toyota.
The Bulakenya center added another ring to her collection after Denso Iris took the 71-50 Game Four triumph over the Toyota Antelopes to claim the title in four games.

Animam only played eight minutes as a starter but was saddled in foul trouble early on, yet still contributed two points and two rebounds in the clincher.
It's the first championship for Denso Iris, and the latest to the already gaudy collection of Animam who won titles with National University back home, in Taiwan, as well as gold medals in 5-on-5 and 3x3 in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games with Gilas Pilipinas.

Veteran center Maki Takada fired 21 points and seven rebounds to win the Playoff MVP award, as Minami Yabu added 14 points off the bench as Denso Iris prevented Toyota Antelopes from extending the series to a winner-take-all Game Five.
Denso drew first blood, 75-66, last April 4. but Toyota leveled the series, 57-41, the following day. The Iris then got to the hill with a 69-59 Game Three triumph on Saturday.
