AFTER coming up big for their respective teams last season, Isaac Go and Donald Tankoua are set to be feted in the 2018 Chooks-to-Go Collegiate Basketball Awards on Thursday night at The Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros.
The two big men are set to receive this year’s Pivotal Player awards, which honor players who were crucial in their team’s drive to the championship, in the ceremony supported by Chooks-to-Go, The Bayleaf Intramuros, and Cherrylume.
The unassuming Go was all guts when it mattered most for Ateneo, hitting the big shots which paved the way for the Blue Eagles victory over La Salle in the UAAP Season 80 finals that ended the Eagles' five-year title drought.
Meanwhile, the Cameroonian Tankoua was a force to be reckoned with in San Beda's run to a second successive title in NCAA Season 93.
Also to be handed out in a night of glitz and glamor hosted by the UAAP-NCAA Press Corps are the Chooks-to-Go Player of the Year award, Mythical Five honors, and the Breakout Player plum.
