AFTER his brief stint in Japan, Justine Baltazar appears to be headed overseas once again, but this time in Korea.
This was revealed by Pampanga G Lanterns team consultant Alan Trinidad during an interview in the broadcast of the Pilipinas Super League on Wednesday, saying that a contract to play in Korea is now being ironed out.
“Inaayos muna ‘yung kontrata niya sa Korea. Habang hindi pa naaayos, lalaro muna sa atin,” said Trinidad, one of Baltazar’s coaches in Pampanga.

Baltazar became part of the line-up of the Pampanga G Lanterns after he was released by the Hiroshima Dragonflies in the Japan B.League. He only played eight games for the ballclub, mostly in garbage time.
If he goes on to play in Korea, he will be joining the likes of RJ Abarrientos, Rhenz Abando, and SJ Belangel in the Korean Basketball League that has also become an attractive market for Filipino ballers.
For now, Baltazar has returned to play local hoops and is even included in the G Lanterns roster in the PSL. But his much-anticipated comeback will have to wait as he didn’t play in their opener against San Pedro to spend time with his family.
“Naki-usap muna si Justine na mag-concentrate muna sa pamilya niya itong two games na ‘to. Hopefully, sa January, lalaro na before magpunta ng Korea,” said Trinidad.
