GERMY Mahinay was taken out in a stretcher after suffering a foot injury during the Slam Rising Stars Classic High School All-Star Game last Sunday at the Gatorade Hoops Dome in Mandaluyong City.
The San Beda big man, who was playing for Team Hype, went down after challenging a shot from a Team Punks player in the second quarter of the match.
Mahinay, a vital player in San Beda's title runs in previous years, was on the floor for about five minutes as doctors immediately wrapped his right foot.
The extent of the injury was unclear at posting time but Mahinay was later carried off in a stretcher and immediately brought to a medical facility.
