SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Indonesia continued to prove to be Gilas Pilipinas Youth’s toughest challenger in the Fiba U16 Asia Cup SEABA qualifiers, hacking out a 70-62 win over Thailand on Monday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
The Indonesians posted their third straight win to remain one of only two teams alongside the Philippines to still be undefeated in the six-team tournament that dangles three spots to the Fiba U16 Asia Cup main tournament in August.

Gilas was also gunning for its third successive win in its matchup against winless Singapore as of posting time.
The top two teams at the end of the elimination round will face off in the finale on the last day of the competition on Friday.
Benjamin Piet Hemusi led the Indonesians with 24 points, five steals, four boards, and four assists, while Gede Dio Arghya Naranatha and Reiner Athaya Hadiputra were the other two players who scored in double digits for Indonesia with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Ronnie Allsopp and Kittipat Pearach scored 15 points apiece to pace the Thais, who fell short after making a late run down the stretch, dropping to a 1-2 win-loss card.
