Brownlee is officially joining the Jakarta-based ballclub, a three-time champion of the Indonesian league, with the blessing of Ginebra management as the team is still in the middle of its PBA Philippine Cup campaign.

Incidentally, Brownlee’s ballclub isn’t new to hiring players with links to the Philippines.
Pelita Jaya once secured the services of Filipino coach Nat Canson and had Bong Ramos as one of their players.
PBA imports in Indonesia ialso aren't new, the most notable one no less than seven-time Best Import Bobby Parks, who played for Aspac Jakarta during the mid-1990s.
Brownlee is also taking advantage of the stint in the IBL to get himself ready for Gilas Pilipinas’ stint in the Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July.
Brownlee is in line to make his Indonesia debut on Saturday when it faces Rans Simba.
