TIONG Lian teams Hope Christian High School and Chiang Kai Shek downed rivals from the UAAP and NCAA, respectively, over the weekend to arrange a finals showdown in Division One of the Seaoil Metro Manila Basketball League.
Hope Christian beat UAAP champion National University, 93-89, while Chiang Kai Shek downed Mapua-Malayan, 66-50, in their semifinals.
Jollo Go led Hope Christian with 21 points, while Ateneo-bound John Apacible added 20 markers.
NU guard Hubert Cani finished with 26 points for the Bullpups.
In Division Two, Faith Academy beat Diliman Preparatory School, 91-45, to arrange a title match with NU Team B, which beat its counterpart from University of Santo Tomas, 81-60.
Trinity University of Asia beat Reedley International, 71-57, to advance to the Division Three final against Colegio De San Benildo-Rizal, which beat Escuela, 70-64.
San Beda College-Alabang Team B will face Jubilee Christian High School for the Division Four title.
