The championship games will be held at the sprawling Ormoc Superdome on April 22.
With his career approaching its twilight, the Cebuano wingman is turning his eye on talent identification and coaching with his numerous basketball camps across the Visayas and Mindanao region.
The tournament is yet another endeavor which he hopes can help talented prospects take the next step in their careers.
“As a coach, I always think at the end of the day if I taught the kids all that I could. And it excites me to do that every single time. And it’s different, too, when the coach who is teaching them is still playing because they will see if I’m actually applying the things that I’m imparting on them,” said the former Gilas Pilipinas, University of Cebu and Cebu Gems standout.
Hontiveros is partnering with Common Ground, a burgeoning basketball sneaker and apparel store located at the Gallery in Cebu City.
