THE Headstart Developmental Basketball League Fresh Gear Cup is set to hold its first-ever Under-12 and Under-15 tournaments slated on May 2 at the SGS gym in Quezon City.
Tournament organizer Edster Sy said the tournament is open for a team of 15 boys aged 12 years and below (born on or after January 1, 2002) and aged 15 years and below (born on or after January 2, 1999) for each age bracket.
The league is open to school, club, and village teams.
“We want to provide our aspiring young athletes a league where they can excel and develop their skills while also serving as a vehicle in the development of promising young athletes,” said Sy.
Former Jose Rizal University head coach Reynaldo ‘Boy’ de Vera and Willy Chan will be the commissioner and tournament director, respectively, for the U12 and U15 league supported by Fresh Gear.
