SEOUL SK Knights refused to go down without a fight.
The top-seeded side continued to fight for its life, taking the last two games in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Finals, as they avoided getting swept by Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers.
Seoul took the dominant 86-56 Game Five win on Tuesday at Jamsil Student Gymnasium with Jameel Warney, who finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while also getting ample help from his supporting cast.
An Young-jun led the way with 21 points built on two treys, as Isaiah Hicks got 16 points and seven boards. Juan Gomez de Liaño only played three minutes in the Knights win.
Meanwhile, Tamayo was checked for the Sakers, as he only had eight points, six boards, three assists, and two steals in the loss.
Assem Marei only logged 12 points and eight rebounds, as Yu Ki-sang paced Changwon with 14.
Big-time bounce back for Seoul SK
It was much of the same in Seoul's 73-48 Game Four rout on Sunday at Changwon Gymnasium where Tamayo and Co. shot a horrific 24-percent from the field in the potential clincher.
Four Knights got to double-figures in that game led by Kim Hyung-bin's 15 points.
Tamayo also struggled for the Sakers, shooting 1-of-8 for a measly seven points.
Game Six of the series is on Thursday back in Changwon Gymnasium.
