THE MPBL has approved a three-team trade that sent Tonino Gonzaga, Arvin Tolentino, and RR De Leon to Nueva Ecija for the Lakan Season.
MPBL commissioner Kenneth Duremdes approved the said trade that also involved Kim Reyes and Chris Pamulaklakin of Nueva Ecija and Mark Olayon of Muntinlupa.
The deal had Gonzaga moving from Quezon City to Nueva Ecija, Tolentino and De Leon from Muntinlupa to Nueva Ecija, and Reyes and Pamulaklakin to Muntinlupa. Olayon, meanwhile, will start playing for Quezon City.
Before the trade, Gonzaga did well with the Capitals averaging 10.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
Curiously, Tolentino, a former Far Eastern University standout, and Olayon haven’t played a single game for the Cagers as they have been with the Batangas City Athletics.
Tolentino averaged 5.5 points and 4.3 rebounds for the team, while Olayon had 1.8 points and 2.4 rebounds for the Athletics.
De Leon, meanwhile, averaged 1.9 points and 1.7 rebounds for the Cagers.
