FIFTY-FOUR applicants attended the final day of the WNBL Draft Combine on Sunday at the Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City.
Gilas Pilipinas women’s team member and 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Khate Castillo and last year’s UAAP finals MVP Monique Del Carmen led the draft applicants who who showed up on Sunday.
Former University of the Philippines guard Fille Claudine Cainglet also took part in the event where all applicants underwent biometrics, agility, and body composition testing in preparation for the draft set this month.
With 61 centers and forwards attending the first day, a total of 115 turned out in the combine, a pre-draft activity in order to give teams a closer look at the players aspiring to play in the first season of the WNBL as a professional league.
Also present on Sunday were Mariel Campasa, Krista Mae Bongon, Klarisse Bascon, Loraine Jastine Capilit, Cherylane Cuyom, Nicole Delos Reyes, Ma. Ferlynn Decapia, Regina Dela Merced, Jean Liezl Delos Reyes, Katrina Rose Domino, Marika Daphne Esplana, Micah Joy Figuracion, Nicole Anne Garcia, Marie Elisa Gepilano and Franchesca Gomendoza.
Fionna Mikee Gonato, Ericka Mae Hortaleza, Ayra Nil Hufanda, Anna Marika Iida, Christine Iriss Isip, Denyse Mariel Jimenez, Mary Rose Labrador, Shanna Mae Latoza, Danice Ysai Llosala, Sunny Gen Lucanas, Krystine Timtim, Leodine Mari Madrid, Nicole Mendina, Julie Ann Montilla, Junila Rose Petilla, Lourdes Pocalian, Jinnelle Ponce, and Quenee Roan Ragual also joined the final day of the combine.
Rounding out the attendees were Camille Ramos, Karen Anne Salapong, Vanessa Santos, Ma. Katrina Servillon, Ma. Princess Ray Sulit, Jacqueline Tanaman, Irene Torregosa, Ma. Michaela Bianca Sunga, Krizanne Claudine Ty, Jade Valenzuela, Eliezza Dianne Ventura, Loraine Ventura, Francesca Isabel Young, Jaimee Mari Chan, Hazelle Irysh Habon, Mary Krista Joanne Roberto, Cheng Garcera, and Loraine Gonzalo.
All players and league staff underwent antigen tests before entering the combine area in the event supported by Victoria Sports, Chris Sports, Phenom, Tanita, Chooks-to-Go, Uling Roasters, and GIG Sportswear.
