CHOT Reyes is banking on Gary David to bounce back after struggling from the field against Saudi Arabia on Thursday night.

The Philippines beat Saudi Arabia, 78-66, in its debut in the Fiba-Asia Championships at the Mall of Asia Arena with LA Tenorio and Larry Fonacier leading the home team in scoring with 12 points.

Reyes, however, singled out David after 'El Granada' had a miserable night from the floor, making only two of his 11 shots from the field while missing six from three-point range.

“Hopefully, Gary David regains his touch,” Reyes said. “He was atrocious.”

Jordan is expected to take advantage of its size against the Philippines, making the outside shot crucial for the Filipino cagers.

“We will need (Daviod's) outside shooting (against Jordan),” said Reyes.
