THE Games and Amusement Board (GAB) is investigating an incident in the MPBL between Marikina coach Elvis Tolentino and player Felipe Chavez during a game last Tuesday, a video of which recently went viral.
The GAB is looking for a resolution after Tolentino was caught on camera hitting Chavez during a timeout with 14.7 seconds left in Marikina's game against Pasig at the Ynares Sports Arena.

A clip of the video has been making rounds on social media days after the match.
"The Games and Amusements Board has taken notice and has initiated an investigation into the matter," said the professional sports regulatory body in a statement.
"We are committed to ensuring a fair and just resolution, and we assure you that GAB will take swift action based on the findings of the investigation. Our priority is to uphold the integrity of the MPBL and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved," said the GAB.
"GAB remains dedicated to promoting the highest standards of sportsmanship and professionalism in all sporting events under our jurisdiction. Any actions that compromise the integrity of the game will not be tolerated," it added.
The incident may have been in relation to a previous play prior to the timeout where Chavez committed a turnover with his team down, 71-66.
