THE Headstart Developmental Basketball League Freshgear Cup opened its Under-12 and Under-15 tournament on Monday at the SGS Stadium in Quezon City.
Chiang Kai Shek College and Pace Academy were scheduled to face off in the U12 and U15 divisions to usher in the tournament featuring 10 teams.
Pace Academy, Chiang Kai Shek College, Icure, and Long March Tires are entered in the Under-12 division. The four also have teams in the U15 division and will battle Adamson University and St. Jude College in the tournament supported by Duralite and AXA Philippines life insurance and investment.
Former Jose Rizal University coach Reynaldo ‘Boy’ De Vera is the tournament commissioner, Willy Chan the tournament director, and Edster Sy as is the event organizer.
The Headstart Developmental Basketball League is part of the program of the World Balance-Headstart Sports Academy that offers year-round basketball, futsal, and dance clinics for kids and basketball workout for adults.
