FRANKY Johnson got the next best thing for Isabela City Chooks as he ruled the Two-Point Shootout in the MMC Sukhbaatar Challenger Saturday in Mongolia.
The Fil-Am swingman ruled the contest, buring 14 deuces in the Finals to win the gold.
Johnson upstaged hometown bet Ulzii-Orshikh Myagmarsuren, who only had 12 in the championship round.
This was the first time a Filipino won a Two-Point Shootout contest in a Fiba 3x3 Challenger.

More importantly, Johnson took home the prize money of MNT 1,000,000 (PHP 19,500).
It was a sweet consolation for Isabela City, which missed the chance of booking a spot in the 2019 Fiba 3x3 World Tour Jeddah Masters in October.
The Philippine side finished 1-1 in Pool A after a tough 22-14 defeat to world no. 1 Novi Sad of Serbia and a big 21-19 squeaker over Ventspils Ghetto of Latvia.
Unfortunately, Isabela City held the most inferior total points as it failed to progress to the quarterfinals.
