LETRAN guard Fran Yu has joined the Zamboanga City basketball team in the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup.
The NCAA Finals MVP arrived in Zamboanga City with the ballclub preparing for the Mindanao leg of the league that will open on May 30.
Being a college player, however, Yu will be required to obtain a special guest license from the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) to be able to play in the regional professional league.

Yu made a great showing for the Knights in their 2019 campaign, winning the Finals MVP after their conquest of San Beda.
The former Batang Gilas cager also wound up with the Most Improved Player award during that same year in Season 95 of the NCAA.
The 22-year-old Yu will suit up for the Zamboanga City squad along with veterans Mark Cardona, Gabby Espinas, Larry Rodriguez, and Rudy Lingganay.
