SAN Beda downed Emilio Aguinaldo College, 74-50, on Sunday at the start of the 22nd Fr. Martin Cup summer basketball tournament at the San Beda gym.
JV Bahio had 12 points, while Calvin Oftana added 10 for the Red Lions in Group B action.
Bahio scored eight in the first period as the Red Lions took command early, 29-8.
Hamadou Laminou had 22 points for the Generals.
Fil-Americans Rob Manalang and Bruce Edwards had 14 points each in Adamson’s 82-78 win over Arellano in the other seniors match of the day.
In the juniors division, Kerby Dulatre had 26 points, Maui Cruz scored 16, and the EAC Brigadiers downed St. Patrick School, 110-46. Sta. Maria Pampanga won over PACE, 82-77.
