ARVIE Bringas hit the big baskets in the dying seconds of overtime, lifting Foton over Cagayan Valley, 97-94, on Wednesday in the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League Founders Cup at The Arena in San Juan.
The former Far Eastern University stalwart scored only five points but made huge baskets in the endgame, cleaning up his own miss to score the go-ahead basket, 96-94, with four seconds to play in extra period.
Cagayan Valley’s Junak Arce turned the ball over and Bringas was fouled and split his charities for the final score.
Foton won its first game after three tries, while Cagayan Valley fell to 0-2.
Levi Hernandez led Foton with 23 points, while Allan Mangahas chipped in 22.
In the first game, EuroMed stayed unbeaten, scoring an 81-70 win over Racal Kama Motors.
Jam Cortes scored 14 and Mar Villahermosa added 13 for for EuroMed (2-0).
Racal Caida Tiles leads the standings with a 3-0 card.
