Forthsky Padrigao earns MVP honors in Basketball Without Borders Asia camp

Forthysky Padrigao was one of two Filipinos invited to the BWB camp.

BATANG Gilas mainstay Forthsky Padrigao claimed the boys MVP award in the 10th Basketball Without Borders Asia camp in Delhi National Capital Region, according to a report by the Times of India.

Padrigao, who plays for Ateneo in the local leagues, stood out among 66 campers from 16 countries. India’s Sanjana Ramesh won the girls MVP honor.

“I have not only improved as a basketball player but as an individual. The focus here was on your overall development at the personal and professional level, and I am glad to have won the MVP at the end of it all,” said Padrigao.

    Corey Brewer of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Caris LeVert of the Brooklyn Nets, Kelly Olynyk of the Miami Heat, Dwight Powell of the Dallas Mavericks, two-time WNBA champion Ruth Riley, and former WNBA player Ebony Hoffman were the coaches in the four-day camp.

    NBA assistant coaches Bret Brielmaier of the Brooklyn Nets, Darvin Ham of the Atlanta Hawks, Ryan Saunders of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Mike Wells of the Utah Jazz led a coaching clinic for 60 local coaches.
